[Backdated Flood Spam]

[By the third day, Jean feels almost relaxed - as much as she does at home, nowadays. There's the buzzing of distant danger, primal fear, that never quite leaves her - echoes of helpless desperation and hopeless agony - but that's a sort of comfort, too. She is who she is, even drifting through alien stars.

She wanders the ship freely, body and mind. In the library, she plucks books from the highest shelves and floats them down to her hands. When she grabs a bite to eat in the dining hall, she manipulates her utensils mentally - and even gets most of the food to her mouth. She spends a long time in the gymnasium, testing her mind with all the equipment.

She's always drawn back to the deck, staring into space and wondering why it calls to her.

[Jean's smile is wryly amused.]

Well, that was fun. Put some stuff in perspective, anyway. [She reaches up, lightly brushes her temple.] It's funny, the things you forget.

[Her hand falls, before rising again with an old photo - her younger self, hand in hand with Annie.] Whoever met me as a kid - hi, I'm Jean, and I'd still like to be friends.

And if anyone feels like talking about the experience, my office is open.

[Private to C'Rizz]

That offer's still open, if you ever want to come over again.

[Private to Admiral]

For Anya: An oak tree pendant, carved from white oak with a black string, with a note attached.

For Bucky: A few boxes of the world's best pancake mix.

I made him an "I'm With Stupid" sweater - the arrow's got the colours of Cap's shield.

For C'rizz: A magical cloak that's always gently heated.

Note: I found this while I was reading - it's magic, and it'll always keep you warm.

For Cambridge: The best anthropology texts about all the other races in my universe.

I can do the other part myself.

Note: I thought you'd enjoy the books, and the notebooks - that's my copy of Professor Xavier's notes on mutants, and how our powers affect our psychology and neurology. I'm the only one here right now, but it might apply to others with similar abilities.

There aren't a lot of people I'd trust with this knowledge, on my world or not. Thank you for being one of them.

For Connor: A landscape painting of the place he grew up, and a quiver of adamantium-tipped arrows.

Note: The metal is from my world; it's called adamantium. It's incredibly durable, and it can cut anything except itself.

- Jean

For Gwen: ...Could you replicate Hank's notes on biochemistry? And some of his equipment and materials, for her to work with. Anything that's not too dangerous.

For Helena: Pictures of her sister, and niece. Indestructible, if you can, so she'll never lose them.

For Iris: A gift basket - silver, decorated with stars and flowers - filled with alcohol she's never tried before, music she's never heard, and art she's never seen.

For Marsh: A book of recipes from all around my world, and - the cookbook my sister published.

Note: Julie's food is all about being hearty and comforting, simple but delicious. You eat it and you feel - content, and warm, and wanted. You feel like you're home.

It reminds me of you.

For Morgana: A crown of silver leaves.

Note: In all the ways that matter, you are a queen.

For Peter: My world's Spider-Man has spider-tracers; I'd like you to give Peter the schematics for those, and notes about different types of web fluid.

I made him a hoodie myself.

Note: I don't know how different your formula is from my Spider-Man's, but I figured you'd have fun playing around regardless.

- Jean

For Steve: A framed picture of him and his Howling Commandos.

I made him an "I'm With Stupider" sweater. The arrow is navy blue.

For Stiles: An authentic X-jacket, in his size.

Note: We're not actually wearing these yet, but I figured - it can go with normal clothes. (It's still got all the protection, though, just in case.) Something fun, but also - being an X-Man isn't about our powers, not really. It's about courage, and compassion, and dedication. It's about fighting for the world, and fighting for your family. Never forget that you're a hero, too.

- Jean

For Touko: Clothes. Modest, but pretty, in colours she likes.

Oh, and sneezing powder. ...Safe sneezing powder. Boxes she can carry around, or give to whoever she wants.

A note: You don't need to hide. You're more beautiful than you ever knew. - Jean
